Part 2 the Bag Contents
This is NOT a complete list. The items listed here are just a start, and should be adjusted to meet your needs. (more details in GHB3)
- Water container (Preferably one that purifies as well as contains your water.) A metal Water bottle can also be used to boil water in if needed. Or some other way to purify water. more…
- Any personal meds you will need for at least 3 days.
A weeks’ worth or more would be better. - Comfortable walking shoes (Depending on your daily foot wear.) and a change of socks
- Some high energy snacks
- beef jerky, energy bars, Energy Drinks, MREs, etc…
Rotated as needed to stay fresh. - Small first aid kit with some moleskin or duct tape for blisters.
including hand sanitizer, small scissors, etc… - Change of clothes (Again Depending on what you wear on a daily basis.). A hat or head covering.
- Some type of rain gear and/or shelter, (A “woobie”), poncho, Rain slicker, etc…
- At least 2 flashlights with extra batteries. And / or charging method.
A Solar light is good but only if you keep it charged. - Fire starter matches, lighter, flint etc.
- Communications gear i.e… phone, 2-way radio, AM/FM radio, Extra batteries for everything.
- Maps of the areas that you travel in along with compass.
If cell service goes down or is not available your Phone is not going to be of Much use. - Some form of personal Protection i.e.. Knife, Club, pepper spray, Fire arm with extra Ammo, Ect..
- A length of rope or Paracord/Parachute Cord. Or both.
- Duct tape for minor repairs.
Some Additional items that could be needed
- Some fishing line could also come in handy.
- A small mirror.
- A couple of sealed water bottles.
